​Matipo Arts CIC is a multi-arts community interest company, founded in 2021 by theatre professionals (and sisters!) Sally and Georgia Hardcastle. We create theatre productions, facilitate workshops, and hold events in pursuit of a world in which all people have equal access to, and ownership of, theatre and arts. We want people to feel connected, empathetic and empowered!

Our name comes from the road on which Sally and Georgia were both born; Matipo Road in Auckland, New Zealand. It’s pronounced ma-ti-po, not ma-tee-po ;)
